Boys T-Ball: 5 - 6 year olds. Boys Coach Pitch: 6 year olds with one year of T-Ball experience, and 7 year olds. Players will be separated by age and previous baseball experience whenever possible. Boys "A" (beginner "kid" pitch): 8 year olds only. Combination of instructional kid pitch / modified coach pitch baseball. Boys "AA": Comprised of 9 - 11 year old boys that choose to play in the AA division and those players who attended tryouts but are not drafted onto an AAA team. This division is designed to be a "REC" or “NON-COMPETITIVE” division. Players are put onto teams via draft. Boys "AAA": 9 - 10 year olds that attend tryouts are eligible to be drafted onto teams in the AAA division. Also – 11 yr. olds that are not drafted at the major’s level will be allowed to tryout for the AAA level. This division is a “COMPETITIVE” division. If your child is not drafted in the AAA division, they will be in the blind draft for AA. Boys "Majors": 10 - 12 year olds that participate in the tryout process and get drafted. All 12 year old boys will be drafted at this level. Boys "Juniors": 13 - 14 year olds that participate in the tryout process and get drafted. All players will be drafted at this level. This division will interlock with other leagues in the area. Boys "Seniors": 15 - 16 year olds that participate in the tryout process and get drafted. All players will be drafted at this level. This division will interlock with other leagues in the area.
GIRLS Girls T-Ball: 5 - 6 year olds. Girls Coach Pitch: 7 - 8 year olds. This division may interlock with other leagues in the area if participation is too low to have a self sufficient league. Girls "AAA": 9 - 10 year olds that participate in the tryout process and get drafted. All girls get drafted at this level. This division will interlock with other leagues in the area.
Girls "Majors": 11 - 12 year olds that participate in the tryout process and get drafted. All girls get drafted at this level. This division will interlock with other leagues in the area. Girls "Juniors": 13 - 14 year olds that participate in the tryout process and get drafted. All players will be drafted at this level. This division will interlock with other leagues in the area.
All managers, asst. coaches, team parents, volunteers or workers who have repetitive contact with players are required to turn in a Volunteer Application and a copy of a valid photo ID. The league will run a background check and once it's completed, you'll be notified when you're ok'd to volunteer/ work through SHLL.
